(Photo by Samuel Corum/Getty Images)Samuel Corum/Getty ImagesBack in June, Republican congressman Matt Gaetz received some unfortunate news when the GOP-controlled ethics committee said—in a press release!—that it was still investigating the Florida lawmaker, who was the subject of a 2021 Justice Department probe into whether he’d had sex with a minor and transported her across state lines. The committee was specifically looking into allegations that he had “engaged in sexual misconduct and illicit drug use, accepted improper gifts, dispensed special privileges and favors to individuals with whom he had a personal relationship, and sought to obstruct government investigations of his conduct.” And this week the bad news continued on that front!
